I would like to congratulate Hong Kong Cargo-vessel Traders’ Association Ltd. on the launching of their Association Website.

Throughout the years, the Association has been providing useful logistics services that meet the needs of the local shipping community, the backbone for the developments in our economy.

As Hong Kong continues to advance to meet the challenges of an increasing competitive global economy, coupled with our entry to CEPA with China, there will be even greater demand for institutions such as the Hong Kong Cargo-vessel Traders’ Association to provide the backing that drives Hong Kong’s economic engine to new levels of success.The launching of the Association Website is timely in providing comprehensive information to members of the Association and general public.The Association is aware of the importance of enhancing communication with the shipping communities and has focused the efforts to improve the productivity and competitiveness of this sector of businesses.

I wish the Hong Kong Cargo-vessel Traders’ Association every success in the years to come.
